THE CONNECTED FAMILY COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective Date: August 27, 2026 | Last Updated: August 27, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and participation in The Connected Family Community, also referred to as "TCFC," the "Community," or the "Membership."
These Terms are entered into by and between you, the member, and Elizabeth Sautter ("Elizabeth Sautter," "we," "us," or "our").
By registering for, purchasing, accessing, or participating in The Connected Family Community, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not join or participate in the Community.
These Terms apply in addition to the Elizabeth Sautter Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these Membership Terms and the general Website Terms, these Membership Terms will control for matters specifically related to The Connected Family Community.
1. About The Connected Family Community
The Connected Family Community is an educational and support-based online community for parents, caregivers, and educators seeking resources, guidance, and community support related to child and teen regulation, connection, executive functioning, social-emotional learning, neurodiversity-affirming strategies, parenting, and family life. The Community may include educational materials, monthly themes, playbooks, calendars, short videos, live calls, guest expert sessions, replays, discussion spaces, workshop libraries, courses, and other resources. The Community provides general education, tools, reflection, and support. It is not therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, diagnosis, crisis support, legal advice, individualized educational advocacy, or individualized clinical services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to join. By joining, you represent that you are at least 18, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, have provided accurate registration information, and will use the Community for personal, household, or educational purposes only. The Community is intended for adults. Children should not create accounts, participate directly, or submit personal information through the Community.
3. Membership Plans and Pricing
Current pricing, plan options, and any applicable free trial terms are displayed on the checkout page and sales page at the time of enrollment. Pricing is subject to change. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per person, household, or email address unless otherwise approved. Any changes to your billing plan will be handled according to applicable law and the terms provided at the time of change.
4. Billing, Automatic Renewal, and Free Trial
The Connected Family Community is an automatically renewing subscription. By enrolling, you authorize Elizabeth Sautter or the applicable payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the price and billing frequency selected at checkout, until you cancel. The automatic renewal terms, including the renewal frequency, amount to be charged, and cancellation instructions, are disclosed on the checkout page before your purchase is completed. If your plan includes a free trial, your trial begins on the date you register. The length of the trial will be stated on the checkout page. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected billing plan will begin automatically and your payment method will be charged. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per person, household, or email address. If your payment method fails, we may attempt to reprocess the charge. If payment is not completed, your access may be suspended or terminated. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel your Membership at any time through your account settings in the Community platform or by contacting us at hello@elizabethsautter.com. Cancellation requests submitted by email must be received at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date to take effect before that cycle. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access through the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial-month, partial-quarter, or partial-period refunds are provided. Because members receive immediate access to digital resources, community content, recordings, courses, replays, and other materials upon joining, Membership fees already charged are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing. The free trial is provided so you can evaluate the Membership before your first charge. Exceptions may be considered in rare circumstances at our sole discretion and do not create a right to future refunds.

The Connected Family Community is hosted on Heartbeat. Your use of the platform may also be subject to Heartbeat's own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for platform outages, errors, login issues, or technical changes, but we will make reasonable efforts to support members when access issues arise. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party platforms.
8. Live Calls, Recordings, and Guest Experts
The Community may include live calls, Q&A sessions, coaching-style discussions, guest expert sessions, or other live events. Live sessions are educational and supportive in nature and are not therapy, clinical care, crisis support, diagnosis, or individualized professional services. Some sessions may be recorded. Sessions that will be recorded will be identified as recorded at the start of the session. By attending a recorded session, you consent to being recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may participate with your camera off, avoid using your full name, and refrain from sharing identifying information in the chat. Guest experts provide educational information based on their own background and perspective. Their views and materials are their own and do not necessarily represent Elizabeth Sautter. Participation in a guest expert session does not create a professional relationship between you and the guest expert or Elizabeth Sautter.
9. Not Therapy, Not Clinical Care, and Not Crisis Support
The Connected Family Community is not therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, speech-language pathology services, occupational therapy, legal advice, educational advocacy, diagnosis, individualized assessment, individualized treatment, or crisis support. Although Elizabeth Sautter is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, participation in the Community does not create a clinician-client, therapist-client, patient-provider, or other individualized professional relationship. Information shared in the Community is general and educational and may not be appropriate for every child, teen, family, or situation. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use any information, resource, strategy, or suggestion, and for consulting qualified professionals regarding your specific needs. If you or someone you know is in crisis or at risk of harm, contact emergency services or a qualified crisis resource immediately.
10. No Guarantees
We hope the Community provides meaningful support, tools, connection, and resources. However, we do not guarantee any specific outcomes for you, your child, your teen, your family, your students, your clients, or any other result. Outcomes vary based on many factors outside our control, including individual needs, family circumstances, implementation, professional support, developmental differences, environment, and timing.
11. Member Responsibilities and Community Standards
As a member, you agree to use the Community respectfully and responsibly, protect your login information, use materials only for your own personal or household use, avoid sharing paid content or member-only resources with non-members, respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members, seek professional support for individualized concerns, and avoid using the Community for emergencies or crisis situations. You agree not to post or engage in content or conduct that is abusive, harassing, threatening, bullying, discriminatory, hateful, shaming, invasive of another member's privacy, promotional or commercially self-serving without permission, misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, or disruptive to the Community. We reserve the right to remove posts or content and to suspend or terminate membership access for conduct that violates these Terms, harms the Community, or creates an unsafe environment. If your access is terminated due to misconduct, you will not be entitled to a refund.
12. Confidentiality and Member Privacy
The Connected Family Community involves sensitive family and child-related discussions. Confidentiality is a core condition of membership. You may not share outside the Community:
- Other members' names or identifying information
- Other members' posts, comments, stories, screenshots, questions, or messages
- Personal information about another member's child, teen, family, school, diagnosis, disability, neurodivergence, or mental health
- Recordings, transcripts, chats, or member discussions
- Any private or member-only community content
You may share your own learning in general terms, but you may not identify, quote, screenshot, or describe another member's personal situation without their clear written permission. Violation of this confidentiality agreement may result in immediate termination of your Membership without refund and may expose you to legal liability for damages caused to the affected member. Elizabeth Sautter and her team are equally committed to protecting member privacy. We will not intentionally share member posts, stories, identifying information, child-related details, or community discussions outside the Community without the member's express permission, except as required by law.
13. Intellectual Property and Use of Membership Materials
All Community content and materials are owned by Elizabeth Sautter or used with permission, including videos, recordings, worksheets, playbooks, calendars, posts, prompts, guides, trainings, downloads, course materials, frameworks, graphics, and other resources. Your Membership grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Membership materials for your own personal or household use. You may not share your login, copy or distribute member-only materials, sell or resell Community materials, use materials to create competing products or services, screen-record or download videos or replays unless expressly permitted, or remove copyright or proprietary notices. Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of access without refund and may be subject to legal action.
14. Your Posts and Contributions
You retain ownership of content you post in the Community. By posting, you grant us permission to display that content within the Community and use it as needed to operate, moderate, and improve the Membership. We will not intentionally use your private member posts, sensitive family details, or child-related stories in public marketing materials without your express written permission. If you provide a testimonial or feedback specifically for public use, you grant us permission to use it for business, educational, or marketing purposes. Testimonials represent real experiences and are shared for illustrative purposes only. They are not a guarantee that other members will achieve the same results.
15. Individual and Group Access
Membership is currently designed for individual use. One membership account is for one person only and may not be shared. Groups interested in future group access options may contact hello@elizabethsautter.com to be notified when those become available.
16. Financial Assistance
Reduced-rate access may be available through scholarship or financial assistance arrangements, including through The Powerful Project, when applicable. Eligibility, availability, and terms are determined at our discretion and may be changed, paused, or discontinued at any time. For inquiries, contact hello@elizabethsautter.com.
17. Bonuses and Content Changes
Bonuses, special resources, and additional materials may be offered from time to time at our discretion and may vary based on when you joined or the offer you enrolled through. We reserve the right to modify, replace, remove, pause, or discontinue any content, bonus, feature, call, replay, course, or resource at any time.
18. Access After Cancellation or Termination
After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your paid billing period unless your access is terminated earlier due to violation of these Terms. Once your Membership ends, you will lose access to the Community and all member-only resources including replays, courses, downloads, discussions, guides, playbooks, videos, and bonuses. You are not entitled to continued access to member-only materials after your Membership ends unless expressly stated in writing. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Membership at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, failure to pay, harmful or disruptive conduct, violation of another member's privacy, misuse of Community content, or any action that may harm the Community, Elizabeth Sautter, or other members. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.
19. Privacy
Your participation in the Community is governed by the Elizabeth Sautter Privacy Policy, available at: https://elizabethsautter.com/privacy-policy Because the Community involves personal discussion, we encourage members to use care and judgment when sharing information about themselves, their children, their families, diagnoses, disabilities, neurodivergence, mental health, or other sensitive topics.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE MEMBERSHIP, COMMUNITY, RESOURCES, RECORDINGS, CALLS, TRAININGS, PLATFORM, AND ALL RELATED MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELIZABETH SAUTTER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS.
21. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELIZABETH SAUTTER AND ANY EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, REPRESENTATIVES, PARTNERS, GUEST EXPERTS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE MEMBERSHIP OR USE OF COMMUNITY CONTENT. IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT PERMIT THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF SUCH DAMAGES, LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IF LIABILITY IS FOUND, THE TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE MEMBERSHIP DURING THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
22. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Elizabeth Sautter and any employees, contractors, affiliates, representatives, partners, guest experts, or service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your participation in the Community, violation of these Terms, violation of another member's privacy, misuse or unauthorized sharing of Membership materials, violation of any law or third-party rights, or any content you submit or share.
23. Force Majeure
Elizabeth Sautter shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, cancellation, or failure to perform due to circumstances outside reasonable control, including illness, emergencies, natural disasters, pandemics, internet outages, platform failures, payment processor issues, technology disruptions, government actions, or power outages.
24. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Membership Terms. For material changes to billing amounts, billing frequency, or cancellation terms, we will provide notice to current members at the email address on file at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Members who do not agree to updated terms may cancel before the change takes effect. Your continued participation after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
25. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
26. Dispute Resolution
The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith informal written communication sent to hello@elizabethsautter.com for at least 30 days before initiating any formal proceeding. To the extent permitted by law, claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
