PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: August 27, 2026 | Last Updated: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Elizabeth Sautter ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information through elizabethsautter.com, learn.elizabethsautter.com, and any related websites, content, products, services, and communications, collectively referred to as the "Site."
By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Who We Are
This Site is owned and operated by Elizabeth Sautter, an individual doing business as Elizabeth Sautter Consulting, a sole proprietorship registered in California, United States. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at hello@elizabethsautter.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly and information collected automatically.
Information You Provide
We collect personal information you voluntarily provide when you:
- Download a free resource, guide, toolkit, or worksheet
- Subscribe to The Sticky Note newsletter or any email list
- Register for a workshop, course, training, or webinar
- Purchase a digital product, course, workshop, or membership
- Create an account on the Site or a related platform
- Join The Connected Family Community
- Submit a form, survey, question, or feedback
- Contact us by email or through a contact form
- Leave a comment on the Site
- Participate in a live session, community discussion, or event
The types of information collected may include your name, email address, billing information, and any other information you choose to provide.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies, pixels, server logs, and analytics tools. This may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time spent on pages, and general location data. This automatically collected information is generally anonymous and is used for statistical purposes to help us understand site usage and improve content - it does not identify you individually.
3. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible to the public alongside your comment. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
4. Embedded Content
Pages and posts on this Site may include embedded content such as videos, images, and articles from other websites. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you had visited those websites directly. Those third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver products, courses, workshops, downloads, and community access you have purchased or requested
- Send transactional emails related to purchases, account access, billing, and services you have requested
- Send The Sticky Note newsletter and other marketing communications you have opted into
- Respond to your questions, requests, and support inquiries
- Process payments and manage billing
- Improve the Site, content, and services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Serve and optimize advertising through Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
- Communicate updates, new offerings, and relevant resources
6. Email Communications and MailerLite
We use MailerLite to manage our email list and deliver email communications. When you subscribe to our email list, download a free resource, register for a workshop, or make a purchase, your name and email address are stored in MailerLite. If you download a free resource, register for a free training, webinar, or live event, or purchase any product or service through the Site, you may be automatically enrolled to receive The Sticky Note newsletter and other email communications from Elizabeth Sautter. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. MailerLite's privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy, available at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy. We are committed to responsible email practices. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all emails clearly identify the sender, all marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Please note that unsubscribing from all emails may affect your ability to receive transactional communications related to active purchases, course access, community content, or billing. If you have an active purchase or membership, we recommend contacting hello@elizabethsautter.com to manage your preferences rather than fully unsubscribing.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device by our Site when you visit certain parts of it. We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Site, remember your preferences, understand how you use the Site, and support advertising and analytics tools. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline them. If you decline cookies, some features and services of the Site may not function properly. You can manage or delete cookies directly through your browser. Links to browser-specific instructions:

We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel), which allows Meta to collect data about your activity on the Site to deliver and optimize ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta's partner networks. This data collection is governed by Meta's Data Policy, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We may allow third-party advertisers and ad networks to display advertisements on the Site. These parties may use their own tracking technologies to collect information about users who view or interact with their ads. We do not provide personally identifiable information to these advertisers directly, though they may combine data they collect with information they have gathered from you elsewhere. Their collection and use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
8. Advertising - Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We run advertising campaigns through Meta, which includes Facebook and Instagram. Meta may use cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your visits to this Site and your interactions with our content to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms. You can manage your ad preferences or opt out of interest-based advertising through:
- Your Meta ad settings at facebook.com/ads/preferences
- The Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at aboutads.info/choices
- The Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool at networkadvertising.org/choices
9. Payment Processing
Payments for products, courses, workshops, and community access are processed through third-party payment processors including ThriveCart, PayPal, and Stripe. We do not store your full credit card or payment information on our servers. Payment data is governed by the applicable payment processor's own privacy policy and security standards.

11. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers who assist us in operating the Site and delivering services, under confidentiality obligations
- With co-hosts, collaborators, or partners when you voluntarily participate in a jointly offered free resource, promotion, event, or other offering, as disclosed at the time of registration
- With payment processors to complete transactions
- With Meta and advertising platforms to deliver and measure advertising campaigns
- With affiliate program partners, solely to confirm that a purchase originated from their referral link so commissions can be issued correctly
- In the event of a business transfer, merger, or sale of assets
- When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Elizabeth Sautter, our users, or others
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, affiliate links, platforms, tools, or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or procedures of other websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected directly by us.
13. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to deliver the services you have requested, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to allow automatic recognition of follow-up comments.
- Information collected through Google Analytics is retained in accordance with the retention settings configured in Google Analytics and for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Information submitted through forms is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal profile information at any time (except username), and website administrators can also access and edit that information.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting hello@elizabethsautter.com, subject to legal and business record-keeping obligations.
14. Your Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, or Virginia, a state privacy law may give you the following rights over your data:
- Right to Know / Access - request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of third parties it's shared with
- Right to Correct - request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Delete - request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising / Sale or Sharing - we do not sell your personal information, but our use of the Meta Pixel may constitute "sharing" under some state laws. You may opt out by contacting us at hello@elizabethsautter.com or through your Meta ad settings. Note that opting out means you'll stop seeing targeted ads - not that you'll stop seeing ads altogether.
- Right to Non-Discrimination - we will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@elizabethsautter.com. For California residents specifically, we will respond to verified requests within 45 days as required by the CCPA/CPRA, and we may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
15. Children's Privacy
This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through this Site, please contact us immediately at hello@elizabethsautter.com and we will delete that information promptly. This Site is also not intended for children under 18 to make purchases or enroll in paid services on their own. See Website Terms of Use, Section 3, for eligibility requirements. Because The Connected Family Community involves parents and caregivers discussing their children, we encourage members to use judgment about how much identifying information they share regarding a child in community spaces.
16. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including secure socket layer (SSL) encryption for data transmission and working with reputable third-party service providers. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Site at your own risk. We recommend not transmitting sensitive personal information by email. If you upload images to the Site, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as this data may be extractable by other visitors.
17. Do Not Track
Some browsers allow users to send "Do Not Track" signals. There is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, and we do not currently alter our data collection practices in response to them. We will revisit this if an industry or legal standard is established.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Site before the changes take effect. The updated effective date will be reflected at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
