REPLAY: Parent/Educator Workshop!

Empower Listening and Learning at Home and School: Executive Function and Genuine Engagement

Presented by Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC/SLP and Elizabeth A. Sautter, MA, CCC

“Pay attention!”

“Listen to me!”

“Stop being so distracted!”

If these phrases sound familiar, join us in this transformative workshop that redefines traditional whole-body listening and learning. Elizabeth Sautter and Sarah Ward, renowned experts in social-emotional learning and executive function, will guide you through strategy-rich sessions rooted in regulation and neurodiversity-affirming practices.

This transformative training emphasizes neurodiversity-affirming practices and the need to shift our mindset to strategies rooted in regulation and executive function.  Discover different and effective tools that support genuine listening, improve processing, memory, retention, confidence, and connection whether at home or school.  Learners will feel more successful and you will too!

What You Can Expect:

  • Explore the true nature of listening, distinguish it from common misconceptions, and understand its multifaceted aspects.

  • Understand the history and evolution of whole-body listening and the importance of shifting to whole-body regulation for genuine engagement and processing.

  • Acquire practical strategies in executive functioning and regulation to enhance children’s listening, processing, memory, and retention skills.

  • Learn about the significance of embracing neurodiversity and creating inclusive learning environments in both schools and homes.

What You Can Expect:

We will spend approximately 75 minutes LIVE on ZOOM for the training including time for Q&A for those who attend live. The Q&A will not be included in the recording that is sent after or available on demand so that it can be a safe and private place to ask questions.
